Technical Equipment

Based on a number of in-house ideas and developments and with support from manufacturer CINTEL in England our C-Reality has been highly modified to perfectly meet the special needs of aged, shrunk and decomposed films.

To complete the optimum of possible film transfer our C-REALITY is equipped with a daVinci 2K / 4K and a multi format wetGate, both for 35 and 16 mm.

Proven top-quality CRT-Technology of CINTEL machines is also installed with our SD/PAL telecine. The main work for this machine is the hi-end SD-transfer to meet top quality Broadcast master status, incl. wetGate.

The color-timing equipment of choice is the daVinci Renaissance 8:8:8.

Digital online video editing we can perform in a 3x DigiBetacam A/B-Edit Suite, timed 2D-FX, Inscriber character generator and paint* of Discreet Logic, Digital Audio enhancement uses Yamaha O3D, DAT und DA88;

The core work performed here is the efficient SD-image restoration and edit.

For the restoration of film soundtracks we collaborate with a specialised sound studio that converts 16mm, 17,5mm and 35mm perforated magnetic tapes as well as the optical soundtracks.

Authenticity and original flavor and sound characteristics of the original recording must be preserved, signal-to-noise as well as understandibility of sound information and FX can be enhanced. Finally the perfect adaption of sound to images can be performed here.

We successfully restored film sound with our collaborator, restored incomplete M&E‘s as well as to generate new 5.1 masters of original Stereo recordings.
